Choose bedding for a specific job

Browse by topic

The Bedding Site helps you choose sheets, covers and pillows. Start with the bed you have. Check its size and the pieces you need. We read size charts, fabric labels and care notes. We have not tested these products in person.

Choose your bedding task

For sheets, measure your mattress with the topper in place. Our queen sheet picks include cotton sateen and brushed microfiber. Check the sheet-size guide before you buy a set. Size names alone may not tell you if it fits.

For a cover or a filled layer, start with our duvet-cover picks. Then check the comforter guide. Compare the width and length with your bed. Two products called queen may have different sizes.

For a pillow, think about what you want to change. Our back-sleeper guide shows which picks let you change the loft. Use the back-and-side guide if you turn in bed. It helps you weigh the choices. No pick is a cure or a fit for all.

Check fit and care first

Check the size and what comes in the pack. A photo may show pieces sold on their own. Save the care label and your bed’s size. You can use them when you need a new set.

Read our fabric guide to learn what a label means. Look up new terms in the glossary. Our about page shows how we check facts. It also tells you how to flag an error.

Sleep research you can check

Our sleep research uses public US data. Each report says what the numbers mean and what they cannot show. The sleep diary report looks at homes with and without children. It uses the 2025 files and shows the range of doubt in each result.

These reports look at groups of people. They do not show that new bedding will help you sleep. Use the data to learn about a group. Use size, fabric and care to choose bedding.
